Shafi Burfat, Chairman of the Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM), has spotlighted India's pivotal role in combating terrorism, emphasizing its implications that reach far beyond South Asia. Burfat argues that the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan is a continuation of NATO's unfinished battle against terrorism in this strategic region.

Burfat criticizes NATO's abrupt withdrawal, which created a void that allowed terrorist organizations to regroup under Pakistan's protection, facilitated by its military and intelligence service, ISI. He accuses Pakistan of institutionalizing terrorism as a state policy, providing refuge, training, and armaments to notorious extremist organizations.

According to Burfat, groups such as Al-Qaeda, ISIS-Khorasan, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Jaish-e-Mohammed thrive with the support of Pakistan's military apparatus. He denounces Rawalpindi as a hub for these terrorists, where they operate without consequence while Pakistan falsely claims to combat global terrorism.

The JSMM leader draws parallels between jihadist ideologies that fueled the 9/11 attacks in the United States and the terrorist activities in India, underscoring the brutality and threat these groups pose globally. Burfat reinforces India's military actions—air strikes and ground efforts—as defensible measures against terrorism, contrasting them against what he terms Pakistan's unethical tactics.

Asserting India's solitary fight as vital for global safety, Burfat calls for global acknowledgment of India's efforts as part of the worldwide war on terror. He concludes by acknowledging India's sacrifices in blood and resources, positioning the nation as a vanguard in the protection of global civilization.
