Nepal has issued a travel advisory cautioning its citizens residing in Israel and Iran following heightened tensions in West Asia. Released late Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises Nepalis to limit movement to essential activities and heed local safety instructions. The advisory underscores the importance of staying informed through Israeli and Iranian authorities and maintaining contact with fellow Nepalis and the Nepali Embassy in Tel Aviv.

The advisory prompts Nepali citizens in affected regions to register their information online for tracking and emergency support. For those in Nepal contemplating travel to Israel, Iran, or the broader Middle East, the government strongly discourages such plans until stability returns. Currently, Nepali citizens in the region are reported safe, with the government pledging to undertake necessary protective measures.

Potential disruptions in air travel from Israel and Iran may necessitate transit through third countries for Nepalis wishing to return home. Individuals are advised to secure transit visas in advance, while the government commits to coordinating safe return efforts where feasible. Continuous updates will be shared via official channels including the ministry's website. Simultaneously, the Nepali Embassy in Tel Aviv has begun collecting information from Nepalis in Israel and Iran seeking repatriation, amid fresh hostilities following Israel's preemptive strike on Iran.
