In a significant security operation, Israeli authorities have detained three residents of eastern Jerusalem linked to the Islamic State (ISIS), effectively preventing a major terrorist attack. The suspects, in their 20s, were allegedly planning an assault on a Jerusalem checkpoint utilizing a car bomb, firearms, or drone attacks, officials revealed on Thursday.
The Israel Security Agency, commonly known as Shin Bet, along with Israel Police, disclosed that the men had been deeply indoctrinated with ISIS propaganda, including violent videos, leading to their radicalization.
