The High Commission of India in Dhaka hosted a ceremonial send-off on Monday for students selected for the esteemed Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) scholarships for 2025. The ceremony, held on the premises of the High Commission, bid farewell to nearly 550 students from across Bangladesh chosen for this prestigious opportunity.

During the event, High Commissioner Pranay Verma congratulated the scholarship recipients, highlighting their role in forging new friendships between India and Bangladesh. He emphasized the nations' shared history and sacrifices during the Liberation War, noting that these scholars contribute to fostering stronger ties between both countries.

In addition to educational cooperation, medical collaboration was also underscored. An Indian medical team, comprising specialists from India's top hospitals, concluded its mission in Bangladesh after aiding in the aftermath of a tragic air crash. This visit further exemplified the deep-rooted connections between the neighboring nations and their shared commitment to mutual support.
