In a dramatic escalation, the Israeli military executed a series of air strikes targeting multiple sites in Lebanon on Thursday. These strikes, reported by Al Jazeera, mark the latest in what has become almost daily violations of the November ceasefire with Hezbollah.

As confirmed by Israel's Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, the operation attacked a key missile production site associated with Hezbollah. Gallant expressed a stern warning against any attempts by the group to reorganize, reposition, or pose threats.

Amidst these ongoing tensions, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun renewed calls for Hezbollah to relinquish its arms in favor of state control, a proposal firmly opposed by Hezbollah as serving an Israeli agenda. The conflict, intertwined with the situation in Gaza, has persisted despite earlier ceasefire agreements. Lebanon's government is advocating for adjustments to U.S.-mediated terms to ensure long-term stability and seeks international aid to strengthen its military forces.
