IDF Air-Drops Aid in Gaza, Targets Hezbollah in Strategic Strikes

In a strategic move, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) coordinated with six countries for a landmark humanitarian operation, air-dropping 126 aid packages into the Gaza Strip. This marks the first joint effort with European nations such as Spain, France, and Germany, amid mounting international concerns over Gaza's humanitarian situation. The IDF's Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, refuted allegations of deliberate starvation, attributing the region's suffering to Hamas.
Amidst these developments, the IDF confirmed continued targeted operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon, despite a ceasefire agreement set for November 2024. The IDF aims to significantly deplete Hezbollah's military capabilities, reducing its rocket arsenal by 70-80 percent. The disruption of smuggling routes through Syria has further hampered Hezbollah's operations, attributed to a newly established Sunni regime.
Moreover, Israeli intelligence reports a substantial decrease in Hezbollah's operational capacity, with thousands of fighters neutralized. Although small-scale attacks remain a possibility, the IDF asserts there is no imminent large-scale threat. While US intervention has played a role in managing ceasefire violations, the IDF continues to conduct independent operations against strategic Hezbollah targets when necessary.
