The rescue team, operating under directives from UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is using cutting-edge technology to monitor and contain the fires.
The challenging mission is a response to blazes exacerbated by extreme temperatures and difficult terrain. Despite these daunting conditions, the UAE team is making headway with strategic field operations designed to halt the fires' progression.
Since last Monday, joint aircraft and specialized personnel have executed 15 aerial sorties, distributing more than 600,000 kilograms of water. These measures are proving effective, containing fires and preventing their spread to inhabited areas.
