India and China engaged in the 24th round of their Special Representatives' dialogue on Tuesday, reaching consensus on several initiatives to strengthen bilateral relations. A key outcome includes the establishment of a Working Group under the WMCC for effective border management to ensure peace along the India-China border.

The meeting, co-chaired by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, took place amidst Wang's two-day visit to India. Both nations agreed to the re-opening of border trade through Lipulekh Pass, Shipki La Pass, and Nathu La Pass.

Further agreements aimed to facilitate trade, resume direct flights, and enhance visa processes. Moreover, both sides committed to upholding multilateralism, supporting each other's diplomatic events, and maintaining peace through dialogue and cooperation, reflecting the strategic guidance from their leaders.
