In a chilling series of coordinated attacks, terrorists targeted girls' schools in Lakki Marwat, leaving one completely destroyed and another damaged. This upheaval has sparked fear and heightened concerns over the safety of education in the region, according to The Express Tribune.

On a night fraught with tension, militants planted explosives in the Government Girls' Primary School in Pahar Khel Paka, resulting in a catastrophic blast that reduced the facility to rubble. Fortunately, as it occurred after hours, no one was injured. Authorities denounced the deliberate assault on education, vowing to uphold children's constitutional rights. In a subsequent attack, another school's furniture was set ablaze, but residents managed to quell the flames before irreparable damage was done.

The situation escalated as police engaged with the attackers, resulting in the injury of Constable Gul Rehman, who is recovering in District Headquarters Hospital, Tajazai. Led by District Police Officer Nazir Khan, law enforcement responded with firm resistance, with regional official Sajjad Khan commending their bravery. Communities have now called on the government to enhance security protocols to protect educational facilities and deter extremist threats.
