In a recent address, US President Donald Trump clarified that any ongoing negotiations with Iran would take place via telephone communication, as opposed to direct face-to-face meetings. President Trump emphasized that the United States would not engage in long-distance travel for these discussions.

Speaking to Fox News, Trump stated that if Iran seeks dialogue, they could simply reach out to the US directly. He added that Pakistan will remain in the loop for telephonic discussions. Trump's remarks follow Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi's tour of Oman and Pakistan, often viewed as part of Tehran's diplomatic outreach.

This backdrop of diplomatic maneuvers comes amidst heightened concerns over Iran's nuclear ambitions. Iranian leadership reaffirms its stance against negotiations under external pressure while accusing Washington of coercive practices. President Masoud Pezeshkian criticized US actions as breaches of international understandings, highlighting tensions in the region.
