In a move that underscores the strengthening of diplomatic relations, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar concluded a pivotal two-day visit to the Republic of Cyprus, solidifying a newly formed Strategic Partnership between India and the European nation, amid a rapidly changing global geopolitical landscape.

Invited by EU High Representative Kaja Kallas and Cypriot Foreign Minister Dr. Constantinos Kombos, Jaishankar participated in the informal EU Foreign Ministers' meeting 'Gymnich.' The discussions saw high-level exchanges on geopolitical dynamics, with a focus on West Asia and Middle East developments.

Jaishankar's structured dialogues with key global figures, including Kaja Kallas, Jose Manuel Albares Bueno, and Prince Faisal of Saudi Arabia, emphasized aligning perspectives on international issues. The visit also reinforced New Delhi-Nicosia cooperation, following President Christodoulides' landmark visit to India, with enhanced focus on trade, investment, and security.
