The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has confirmed that a ballistic missile fired from Iran targeted Kuwait amidst ongoing hostilities between Washington and Tehran. The missile was intercepted by Kuwaiti forces. CENTCOM labeled the incident as a blatant ceasefire violation just hours after revealing multiple aerial threats in the region.

At precisely 10:17 p.m. ET on May 27, Iran launched a missile aimed at Kuwait, which proved to be another breach of the fragile truce between the US and Iran, CENTCOM reported. The aggression follows US defensive strikes against Iran intended to preserve the fragile peace between the two nations.

In recent developments, US forces downed four Iranian drones and attacked a ground control station poised to launch another. In retaliation, Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targeted a US base at an undisclosed location near Bandar Abbas Airport. Kuwaiti defences, meanwhile, engaged hostile drones, reassuring the public through official communication.
