The Delhi Police have successfully apprehended a notorious member of the Chennu gang, identified as Arshad, who had previously been on the run after violating parole in a murder case. An official revealed this development on Wednesday, detailing the circumstances of his arrest.
Arshad, aged 34, was originally granted interim bail to facilitate the medical treatment of his wife. However, he failed to surrender post-treatment, prompting authorities to issue a non-bailable warrant in light of his evasion.
Arshad, a resident of Seelampur, was tracked down and arrested on Tuesday. His involvement in a 2017 murder case and subsequent flight from justice has been a significant concern for law enforcement.
