In a decisive move against terrorism, India's armed forces dismantled nine terror sites on Wednesday, including those linked to Jaish-e-Mohammad and Lashkar-e-Taiba, in a meticulously planned operation known as 'Operation Sindoor'. The 25-minute mission, described as 'measured and non-escalatory', targeted sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri stated that the 'proportionate' strikes aimed to hold accountable the perpetrators of the Pahalgam massacre, as there was no action from Pakistan against the terrorist infrastructure. This marked a significant first since the 1971 Indo-Pak war, with aerial strikes reaching deep inside Pakistan's Punjab province.

The military operation targeted key terror bases like Markaz Taiba and Jaish headquarters. Deemed successful, the operation was executed with advanced weaponry including Scalp missiles and Hammer smart systems. The Indian government, under the close watch of PM Modi, emphasized restraint and precision to avoid escalating tensions, reiterating a firm stance against terrorism.
