Escalating Tensions: Drone Warfare Between India and Pakistan
The conflict between India and Pakistan has intensified with Pakistan launching drone attacks along the western border. Both sides have exchanged fire, resulting in nearly four dozen casualties, marking the deadliest confrontation since their 1999 clash. International powers urge the countries to de-escalate tensions.

In a worrying escalation of hostilities, Pakistan's armed forces reportedly launched drone attacks across India's western border. This intensifies the recent conflict after India targeted what it described as terrorist camps in Pakistan.
The ongoing exchange of fire has resulted in high casualties, estimated at nearly four dozen, reminiscent of the deadly clashes in 1999. This is the first time since their 1971 war that India has targeted Pakistani mainland provinces outside of Kashmir.
Calls for calm have resonated globally, with U.S. Vice President JD Vance urging de-escalation. Meanwhile, residents near the border areas are taking precautions as sirens and blasts cause disruptions and heightened anxiety in local communities.
