Reuters reported this development citing an unnamed source, while IPL Chairman Arun Singh Dhumal and BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia remained unavailable for comment.
The disruption of Thursday's IPL match, initially attributed to a power outage in Dharamsala, coincided with skirmishes in India's border areas. The highly lucrative cricket series, which kicked off on March 22, had its final match scheduled for May 25 across various Indian venues.
The escalation in hostilities follows India's military strikes on alleged terror sites in Pakistan, linked to a recent attack in Kashmir. The conflict intensified with accusations and denials from both nations regarding military activities and involvement in regional attacks.
