Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, HCLTech has decided to implement a Work From Home (WFH) directive for its employees stationed at their offices in Chandigarh, Gurugram, and Noida. The measure applies to this Friday, reflecting heightened security concerns.
The move follows recent cross-border hostilities, particularly involving the exchange of drones and artillery fire along the Line of Control in Kashmir, which have seen a significant increase. As a result, several towns in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab enforced overnight blackouts.
While the Indian Army claims that these aggressions were 'effectively repulsed,' HCLTech sources mention that any decision to extend the WFH protocol will depend on government advisories and the evolving security scenario, with a final call expected on Sunday.
