A disturbing incident unfolded in the village of Husainpur Kala where a 12-year-old boy was murdered by his friends for refusing to participate in a ransom scheme, police reported on Friday.
The tragedy began when the boy's father, Deepak, reported his son Ayush missing. His absence coincided with a ransom demand sent to a relative on Instagram, prompting police to launch an investigation based on technical surveillance.
The police traced the suspects, minors Aniket, Anmol, Akash, Nakul, and Umesh, to a forest staging a gunfight. Aniket injured an officer with a bullet, but was wounded in return, leading to their capture. The suspects confessed to killing the boy when he refused their request.
