Tahawwur Hussain Rana, implicated in the deadly 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, was relocated to Tihar Jail on Friday, surrounded by an intense security presence, as confirmed by jail authorities.
Earlier that day, Rana appeared before a Delhi court, where Judge Chander Jit Singh of the special National Investigation Agency (NIA) proceedings remanded him in judicial custody following the conclusion of his NIA custody.
Transported to the high-security sector of Tihar, Rana is infamously known for his association with 26/11 mastermind David Coleman Headley, aka Daood Gilani, a United States citizen extradited to India after the U.S. Supreme Court dismissed his opposition to extradition.
