Coastal Vigilance Intensified in South 24 Parganas Amid Military Tensions
Authorities in South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, have increased surveillance along the coastal belt due to India-Pakistan military tensions. Speed boat patrols have been stepped up in coastal regions to prevent infiltration. The Sundarban Police District remains on high alert with all 13 coastal stations on maximum watch.

In South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, authorities have ramped up surveillance along the coastal belt in response to ongoing military conflicts between India and Pakistan, according to local officials.
The district has intensified speed boat patrols in key coastal areas such as Gangasagar, Patharpratima, Namkhana, Canning, Gosaba, and Basanti, focusing on preventing any possible infiltration.
SP Koteswar Rao informed PTI that all coastal police stations have been put on high alert. Under the jurisdiction of the Sundarban Police District, 13 coastal police stations are actively involved in these precautionary measures.
