Authorities in Latur have intensified efforts to locate an individual accused of calling a local resident a 'Pakistani' and subsequently assaulting him. The case has spiraled into tragedy, as the victim, Amir Gafur Pathan, allegedly committed suicide after the incident.
On May 3, Pathan's wife, Samrin, witnessed her husband being assailed by an unknown man who accused him of foreign allegiances. The encounter reportedly took place as he awaited his wife's return from work. The aggressor, alleged to be a journalist, threatened to defame Pathan using social media.
The Latur police have registered a case of abetment to suicide and criminal intimidation. Teams have been dispatched to bring the alleged perpetrator to justice, emphasizing the urgency and seriousness of the situation.
