Delhi police have successfully rescued a 15-year-old girl from Bihar, who found herself in a perilous situation after being allegedly lured away with promises by 23-year-old Shashi Kumar. The minor, reportedly enticed during a train journey, faced the risk of being sold for Rs 2 lakh.

According to a senior police officer, the girl, hailing from Darbhanga, Bihar, had left home following a dispute with her mother and aimed to visit her maternal aunt in Delhi. While in transit, she was approached by Kumar at Chhapra Railway Station, who falsely assured her of a safe passage to Delhi.

Upon their arrival in the capital, Kumar attempted to forcibly take her away and threatened to sell her. He has since confessed to the plot, citing financial struggles. Investigations are ongoing, with officials striving to determine whether Kumar is part of a larger trafficking network.
