German Authorities Dismantle Far-Right Group 'Kingdom of Germany'
German police arrested four individuals tied to the 'Kingdom of Germany', a far-right group accused of creating shadow state structures. The arrests followed the group's ban by the interior ministry. The Reichsbuerger-affiliated movement was under surveillance for fostering antisemitic conspiracies and undermining the legal system.

On Tuesday, German police arrested four individuals linked to the 'Kingdom of Germany', a radical group known for challenging the modern democratic framework. The arrests were part of a broader operation following the group's prohibition by the interior ministry just before the raids took place.
The 'Kingdom of Germany' is associated with the Reichsbuerger movement, notorious for its far-right ideals and claims that the German democracy is illegitimate. The group had established pseudo-state structures aiming to replace the current system, and its leaders are accused of setting up illicit institutions like banks and printing their currency.
The German domestic intelligence agency had been monitoring the Reichsbuerger since 2016. Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt highlighted the group’s efforts to undermine German legislation, with its purported 6,000 members promoting antisemitic conspiracy theories. The crackdown is part of intensified efforts following a foiled coup attempt in December 2022.
