On Monday, law enforcement arrested a man in Sikkim's Namchi district, accused of killing his daughter's boyfriend following a violent altercation. The suspect, Tenzing Sherpa, was taken into custody after an incident involving a deadly attack.
The confrontation unfolded at Mangzim village when Anjal Rai, the alleged victim, assaulted his girlfriend with a traditional khukuri knife and vandalized her residence. Rai reportedly suspected the woman of infidelity.
In the aftermath, Sherpa fatally struck Rai with a wooden plank as he fled. The police also detained a minor accompanying Sherpa, while the injured daughter was hospitalized. Authorities have commenced an investigation into the case.
