In a bold operation, three men were apprehended on charges of stealing gold and silver worth lakhs. During an attempted escape, a suspect was injured in a firefight with police.
The theft occurred when Darshanlal Kapoor's bag was sliced open at Meerut's Bhaisali Bus Stand, losing 2.250 kg of silver and 15 grams of gold. Prompt police action led to the arrest of Asif, Shahrukh, and Salman.
During interrogation, the suspects disclosed hiding spots near Cantt Railway Station. While recovering the items, Shahrukh snatched a pistol from an officer, leading to a shootout. Shahrukh, already facing multiple charges, is now hospitalized under custody.
