A 40-year-old man has gone missing after an unfortunate fall into the Siom River while crossing a suspension bridge in Arunachal Pradesh's Shi Yomi district, according to local police reports on Thursday.

The man, identified as Tade Pigyor, was carrying a sack of cement when the bridge, connecting Yapik and Lipo villages in the remote area, possibly tilted, causing him to lose his balance and fall into the river at approximately 5 am, said Shi Yomi SP S K Thongdok.

Upon receiving notification of the incident, the district police quickly initiated a search operation. However, as of now, authorities report that no trace of the missing individual has been discovered.
