Delhi Police Unveils Emblems to Highlight FPB and BDS Prowess

The Delhi Police revealed new official emblems for their Finger Print Bureau (FPB) and Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) on Thursday, marking a symbolic gesture to underscore the significance of these divisions. The emblems were introduced by Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora at Police Headquarters.

These insignias, now featured on jackets, communications, and equipment, reflect the identity and importance of the FPB and BDS in maintaining public security. Senior officer Devesh Chandra Srivastva elaborated on the emblems' significance, highlighting their role in crime-solving and threat mitigation.

Established in 1983, the FPB uses advanced technologies to analyze fingerprints, aiding criminal investigations. The BDS, essential since 2002, focuses on neutralizing explosive threats, protecting public areas with modern equipment and strategic deployment. Both teams continuously train with specialized units to enhance their operational capabilities.
