Amit Shah's Strategic Visit: Tackling Naxalism and Building Forensic Hubs

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to embark on a two-day visit to Chhattisgarh, starting June 22, aimed at strengthening anti-Naxal operations and fostering national development initiatives. During this visit, he will lay the groundwork for a National Forensic Science University and a state forensic lab in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar.

A central theme of Shah's visit is a thorough review of the state's security measures against Naxalism. He is set to convene a high-level meeting with local Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, alongside senior state and security officials, to address the current security climate with a particular focus on anti-Naxal strategies.

The region has seen a bolstered security drive since the BJP's victory in the 2023 assembly elections, coinciding with intensified anti-Naxal operations.
