A Chinese student, Zhenhao Zou, has been sentenced to 24 years in prison by a London court for a series of heinous crimes, including drugging and raping multiple women in both Britain and China. Zou, 28, targeted his victims using online platforms and dating apps, inviting them to his home under false pretenses.
Once there, he drugged and assaulted them while they were unconscious, capturing the acts on film and taking some victims' personal belongings. The court found Zou guilty of 28 offenses, including 11 counts of rape, after his trial concluded in March at the Inner London Crown Court.
Officials believe the true number of his victims could exceed 50, with crimes documented in both nations. Originally from Dongguan, Zou relocated to the UK in 2017, later enrolling in a PhD program at University College London, during which time he committed these offenses.
