A labourer, aged 38, experienced a harrowing fall into a deep well in the Batal Ballian area of Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur district. The incident prompted a swift response from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF).
The individual, identified as Mulkraj of Panchari, slipped into the well while engaged in work. Locals quickly alerted authorities, who dispatched SDRF personnel equipped for an emergency rescue.
Following hours of effort, Mulkraj was safely extricated in an injured condition and subsequently taken to a hospital for treatment. The rescue underscores the readiness and coordination of local emergency services.
