Rescue operations are set to resume on Friday as officials continue their search for survivors in the aftermath of a massive rockfall near Bow Glacier Falls in Banff National Park. The catastrophe has already claimed at least one life and left three others injured.
Eyewitness Niclas Brundell described the harrowing moment when he and his wife observed rocks tumbling from the mountain, prompting them to flee for safety. "We just kept sprinting," Brundell recounted, capturing the terror of those at the scene.
Efforts to recover those affected by the incident will include the use of drones and rescue dogs. Andy Dragt, an organiser for a local hiking club, confirmed the loss of one of their members, highlighting the personal toll of the tragedy.
