Israel's Defense Minister, Israel Katz, confirmed on Saturday that a high-ranking Quds Force commander was killed in an Israeli military operation. The operation targeted an apartment in Qom, Iran.

The deceased commander has been identified as Saeed Izadi. Izadi was known for his leadership within the Quds Force, an arm of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards focused on overseas operations.

He headed the Palestine Corps, a division within the Quds Force tasked with managing Iran's operations related to Palestine. The targeted strike marks a significant moment of tension between Iran and Israel.
