Trump Intervenes to Halt Israel-Iran Conflict
Explosions were reported in Tehran despite President Trump’s intervention to cease Israeli airstrikes. Both nations defied the ceasefire, escalating tensions. Relief was felt as a pathway to peace emerged, with Israel having launched attacks on Iranian nuclear sites and Iran countering with missile strikes on Israeli targets.

Explosions reverberated in Tehran despite U.S. President Donald Trump claiming he halted Israeli airstrikes with his intervention. Two witnesses in the Iranian capital confirmed hearing loud detonations, as Israeli reports suggested their military had targeted an Iranian radar installation.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu allegedly assured Trump that Israel ceased strikes after an abrupt rebuke from the American leader. However, Israeli Defense Minister Katz had instructed the continuation of operations citing Iran's alleged violations.
With more than a week of hostility culminating in heavy sacrifices, the newly enacted ceasefire has been a source of relief for many. Nonetheless, the conflict has left immeasurable destruction in its wake, particularly following Israel's aggressive assault on Iranian nuclear facilities.
