In a grim development from Berhampur, Odisha, a 47-year-old man who operates a private clinic has been taken into custody for allegedly raping a 17-year-old nursing aspirant.
The arrest, carried out by the Baidyanathpur police on Tuesday, also saw the detention of two women, aged 21 and 50, on charges of aiding the suspect. According to police reports, the crime was facilitated by the accused, who is also believed to hold a fake homeopathy degree.
