In a tragic turn of events, a couple reported missing on Saturday has been found dead near Arnala Fort in Maharashtra's Palghar district.
The bodies of 54-year-old Shivaji Shinde and his 48-year-old wife, Rangita, were discovered floating in the sea, according to senior inspector Vilas Patil of Arnala police station.
A case of accidental death has been registered, and the bodies were sent to a government hospital for post-mortem. The family had approached the Virar police station after their disappearance, and a thorough investigation is currently underway.
