Two men, identified as Jatin alias Mogli and Akshay, were arrested after allegedly robbing two US nationals in Astha Kunj Park, Delhi. Police nabbed the suspects following a brief shootout early Sunday, during which both suspects sustained gunshot wounds.
The robbery occurred during the night of June 25 and 26, when the victims were attacked with a knife. The suspects fled with a mobile phone but were later apprehended by police using CCTV footage and local informants.
Police recovered firearms and the stolen mobile from the suspects, who have been hospitalized. Further investigations are underway to determine their involvement in other crimes.
