In a significant move, Maharashtra Legislative Council chairman Ram Shinde has announced the establishment of a panel to oversee the Upper House proceedings during his absence.
The panel, comprising Idris Naikawadi (NCP), Amit Gorkhe (BJP), Krupal Tumane (Shiv Sena), and Dr. Pradnya Satav (Congress), was introduced on the opening day of the monsoon session.
Shinde also paid tribute to the recently deceased astrophysicist Dr. Jayant Narlikar, marking the session with a heartfelt condolence message.
