The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) announced on Monday the creation of a dedicated grievance desk specifically for its 12,000 women personnel. This initiative represents a significant step towards prioritizing the concerns of women officers within the force.

Located at the CISF headquarters in Delhi, the desk aims to address grievances more effectively through a human-centric approach. With 12,510 women making up about 8% of its 1.80 lakh workforce, CISF has the highest female representation among the Central Armed Police Forces.

The CISF is also leading efforts in gender equality with four of its 16 inspector general positions occupied by women—a first for the force. Furthering gender balance, a sports recruitment drive this year will add 229 women and 204 men, expanding the total CISF sports teams to 60.
