Househelp's Daylight Robbery: Stolen Jewelry Recovered by Delhi Police
In Southeast Delhi, a househelp named Meenakshi, aged 37, was arrested for allegedly stealing jewellery and foreign currency from her employer's home. The police recovered stolen items and cash. Meenakshi admitted to the crime, knowing her employment was temporary. A jeweller, Pramod Gupta, was also arrested as an accomplice.

A startling case of theft has come to light in Jungpura Extension, southeast Delhi, where a househelp allegedly stole jewellery and foreign currency from her employer. The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Meenakshi, was apprehended alongside a jeweller named Pramod Gupta, police reported on Monday.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Aishwarya Sharma revealed that Meenakshi confessed during interrogation, stating she committed the crime due to her impending job replacement. Exploiting this situation, she broke into a locker, making away with valuable items.
The incident was reported on June 21 at Hazrat Nizamuddin police station after the complainant discovered the theft. With the help of CCTV footage and technical surveillance, police tracked Meenakshi to her residence in Ghaziabad, leading to the recovery of stolen goods and subsequent arrest of jeweller Gupta, who allegedly received the pilfered valuables.
