Himachal Pradesh's Revenue, Horticulture, and Tribal Development Minister, Jagat Singh Negi, called for stringent action against safety rule violations under the Dam Safety and Disaster Management Acts. Deputy commissioners from Mandi, Kullu, and Kangra have been instructed to monitor their respective large dams vigilantly.

Chaired by Negi, a significant meeting unfolded with key officials to review monsoon readiness against heavy rainfall impacts. The minister emphasized urging tourists to heed weather advisories and avoid risky sites like rivers and streams.
