Violent Clash Erupts in Uttarakhand: Nihang Sikhs and Local Businessmen Face Off

In a dramatic turn of events near Uttarakhand's Jyotirmath, a heated clash between Nihang Sikh pilgrims and a local businessman resulted in police intervention and the subsequent arrest of seven individuals on Monday.
The confrontation, which began over a dispute involving the movement of a scooter, escalated when the Nihangs allegedly attempted to attack the businessman with swords. The situation further deteriorated as the pilgrims, armed with weapons including kulhars and axes, engaged local merchants and law enforcement.
A senior sub-inspector was injured in the melee, prompting police to charge the accused under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including attempt to murder and rioting. All those arrested hail from Fatehgarh in Punjab, with investigations ongoing.
