Telangana Government Ensures Compensation After Tragic Pharma Plant Blast

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy pledged financial support to victims of a deadly explosion at Sigachi Industries Ltd's plant, which resulted in 36 fatalities. The government promises to engage with the company to ensure Rs 1 crore compensation to each family that lost a member in the tragedy.

Injured victims will also receive aid, with Rs 10 lakh for those seriously hurt and Rs 5 lakh for those who can return to work. Additional emergency support from the state includes Rs 1 lakh for deceased families and Rs 50,000 for the injured. Most victims hailed from Odisha, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Telangana.

Efforts are ongoing to locate all workers, with 56 identified so far. Reddy confirmed that initial support for medical expenses will be shared by the government and Sigachi Industries, and that responsible parties will face legal actions. The CM recently visited hospitalized victims to assess their condition.
