A Danish national has been taken into custody amid allegations of espionage for Iran, targeting Jewish sites and individuals in Berlin, according to German prosecutors.
The suspect, identified only as Ali S due to privacy laws, reportedly gathered intelligence in June 2025 on various sites, including the German-Israeli Society's headquarters, possibly for future terrorist actions. Authorities claim he was directed by Iran's Quds Force.
Prosecutors announced that last week's arrest in Aarhus, Denmark, followed a coordinated effort between Danish police and German authorities. The suspect now faces Germany's Federal Court of Justice.
