Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced that 13% of the state's population receives welfare pensions, a notable achievement compared to other Indian states. Addressing villagers in Malakapalli, East Godavari, he highlighted Andhra Pradesh's substantial investment of Rs 33,000 crore annually on pensions.
Naidu criticized the former YSRCP government, accusing it of preferential pension distribution and incomplete infrastructure projects like the Polavaram Project. He assured the public that the project, now 82% complete, will be dedicated to the nation by 2027.
Beyond infrastructure, Naidu outlined further welfare measures, including the 'Talliki Vandanam' program and the P4 poverty alleviation initiative. He stressed the importance of economic development, tourism, and self-reliance among citizens to foster prosperity in the state.
