Jailed gangster Neeraj Bawana, a high-risk prisoner with a lengthy criminal history, was briefly released on parole to visit his ailing wife at a West Delhi hospital. His stay outside the confines of Tihar Jail lasted only six hours but was conducted under a shroud of tight security to avert any potential gang violence.

Transported by van and escorted by over 15 Delhi Police personnel, Bawana's route to the hospital was meticulously secured. Officials took great care, checking every detail to prevent any attempted attacks from rival gangs. Inside and outside the hospital premises, a heightened police presence ensured the safety of the individuals involved.

Bawana's parole, sanctioned by the court, allowed him a brief respite to see his wife, who is undergoing treatment for a nerve blockage in her brain. The gangster, linked to 28 cases since his incarceration in 2015, has been embroiled in a prolonged gang war including rivals like the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and others. Upon completing his visit, Bawana was promptly returned to jail.
