A Danish citizen is detained in Denmark on suspicion of spying for Iran, allegedly to gather information on Jewish properties and individuals in Berlin. The man, identified as Ali S, reportedly photographed Jewish sites for potential attacks. Iran denies the charges, calling them a distraction from Israeli actions.

A Danish national has been arrested on espionage charges in Denmark, accused of collaborating with Iranian intelligence services to gather data about Jewish sites in Berlin, Germany. German prosecutors announced the arrest, identifying the detainee only as Ali S, citing privacy laws.
Prosecutors allege Ali S spied on three Jewish properties in June, taking photographs as part of his intelligence activities. This operation is suspected to have been sanctioned by Iranian intelligence at the start of 2025. Iran's embassy in Berlin dismissed these accusations as a diversion from Israeli aggression towards Iran.
The suspect, once extradited, will face questioning by Germany's Federal Court of Justice. The German-Israeli Society and other officials urge stringent action against potential Iranian plots, warning against Iranian ideologies establishing roots in Germany.
