Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has strongly condemned the custodial death of a 29-year-old man in Sivaganga, labeling it as 'unjustifiable.'
In a personal outreach, he reassured the family of the deceased, Ajithkumar, vowing to stand by them and promising serious action against those responsible. The Chief Minister shared details of his conversation with the family on social media platform 'X,' highlighting measures already taken, including the arrest of five policemen, suspension of a DSP, and a directive for the SP to be put on compulsive wait.
Stalin, through his cabinet colleague KR Periakaruppan, reiterated that such cruelty should never occur again, asserting the government's commitment to ensuring due punishment and pledging ongoing support for the grieving family.
