The Narcotics Control Bureau has successfully dismantled a notorious darknet-based LSD trafficking syndicate, known as 'Ketamelon'. The operation resulted in the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of drugs and cryptocurrency valued at approximately Rs one crore.

The syndicate was under investigation following initial discoveries of 280 LSD blots by the NCB's Cochin unit on June 28, prompting a comprehensive crackdown. The syndicate, established as India's only Level 4 darknet vendor, had a vast delivery network across major cities, including Bengaluru and Delhi.

Authorities seized 1,127 LSD blots, 131.66 grams of Ketamine, and cryptocurrency worth around Rs 70 lakh. The NCB continues to investigate, having identified custodial wallets on platforms like Binance and UK-sourced drugs. The crackdown highlights the agency's commitment to combating such networks.
