In a striking move, Haryana's Energy Minister, Anil Vij, has suspended an executive engineer amid allegations of misconduct and abuse of authority. The engineer, Harish Goyal of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam in Yamunanagar, is at the center of controversy following an incident at a prestigious club.

The Phoenix Club in Ambala Cantonment reported that Goyal attempted to enter its premises wearing inappropriate attire. Upon being denied entry by staff due to the club's strict dress code policy, Goyal allegedly reacted by cutting off the club's electricity, affecting numerous families dining there.

The minister expressed grave concerns about this misuse of power by a public servant, calling it unacceptable behavior. Immediate suspension orders have been issued for Goyal, and an explanation has been demanded to address the serious allegations levelled against him.
