The Mumbai police have reaffirmed that Disha Salian, a former celebrity manager, committed suicide, countering persistent claims from her father, Satish Salian, who alleges she was gangraped and murdered. Their official affidavit, submitted to the Bombay High Court, determined no foul play was involved in her death.
According to the police, Disha Salian voluntarily jumped from a 14th-floor window, driven by intense mental stress linked to familial disputes and faltering business deals. Despite her father's insistence on foul play, postmortem reports indicate no sexual or physical assault, aligning with the police's accidental death report filed in 2020.
Amid ongoing legal proceedings, Satish Salian has petitioned for a CBI investigation, casting suspicions on politician Aditya Thackeray. As the case evolves, claims of political cover-ups continue to spark controversy, even as authorities maintain the original suicide verdict.
